Eeva Mäkinen is a photographer and wilderness guide based in Finland. Eeva loves to wander around the world and get inspired by places that are close to nature. The best thing she knows is to wake up from the wilderness in all of those spots that make you smile at the same second you open your eyes.
Eeva fell in love with photography when she travelled in the Galapagos Islands some years ago.
“Since then I’ve noticed how fascinating places you could end up when you follow your visions and want to see, experience and feel more. Social media came along and I liked that place where you could tell your story and people listened.”
Your best tip for a starting photographer and Instagrammer?
E: Spend as much time in the nature as you can and make the stories worth sharing.
Your favorite spot to photograph in the Inari-Saariselkä area?
E: Urho Kekkonen National Park.
THE photo you would love to capture from the area?
E: A silhouette of a reindeer facing the midnight sun.
To the fells or to the lakeside?
E: Tough one. Fells.
