On Friday 28.6. everyone will start together the Outdoor Photography Workshop that continues till Sunday 30th June. The workshop tickets are now available!
WHAT IS THE CAMPING CRASH COURSE?

Camping Crash Course is a 24 hour outdoor workshop (27.-28.6.) that will take you to the basics of outdoor life and camping. Excellent possibility to try out sleeping in a tent, with other like-minded campers! The crash course is held by a professional wilderness guide, and you will get some outdoorsy tips – without forgetting Finnish Everyman’s rights and safety issues. Excellent for outdoor beginners and for those who want to share a trick or two!
WHERE IS THE EVENT HELD?
In summer 2019 the event is held in Lemmenjoki area. Lemmenjoki is the largest national park in Finland, as well as one of the largest roadless and uninhabited forest wildernesses in Europe. The home base for this event is Hotel Korpikartano in a small reindeer herding village called Menesjärvi, right by Lemmenjoki National Park. Inari village, the centre of Sámi culture in Lapland, is only 30 minutes drive away.
WHAT IS INCLUDED TO THE FEE?
Admission fee includes the program, meals and transportation during the event. The admission fee does not include transportation to and from Lemmenjoki, accommodation and insurances.
The Camping Crash Course fee includes shared tents, meals and cooking gear. Possibility to rent out other equipment such as backpack, sleeping bags or sleeping mattresses.
WHERE SHOULD I GET ACCOMMODATION?
Book your accommodation directly from Hotel Korpikartano, using code “nightlessnight”.
The accommodation rates start from 60€ / 2 night stay / in shared accommodation. Please note that there is limited availability on the different accommodation types.
For private rooms there are different options at Hotel Korpikartano, room rates vary from 59€ / night to 95€ / night.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
Take yourself, your camera gear, open mind and weatherproof clothing as we cannot promise sunshine throughout the event. Have some snacks as there are no supermarkets around the corner.
For the Camping Crash Course be prepared with personal clothing that is suitable for a night out in a tent – Lappish June can surprise with cold nights! Also shoes need to be suitable for light trekking. The Camping Crash Course fee includes shared tents, meals and cooking gear. Possibility to rent out other equipment such as backpack, sleeping bags or sleeping mattresses.
DO WE MAKE LONG DISTANCES BY FOOT?
We will be making light hikes when attending to practical workshops. Good basic condition is enough. On Saturday we will cover some 4-5km during the day and to greet the midnight sun on top of a fell, another 3km / one way.
WHAT IS THE EASIEST WAY TO GET TO LEMMENJOKI AREA AND HOTEL KORPIKARTANO?
Inari-Saariselkä is far away in the north and yet just a few hours from southern Finland.
Hotel KOrpikartano in Menesjärvi is situated in Inari municipality and about 33 kilometres from Inari village centre and 80 kilometers from Ivalo Airport, by road 955. The home base of the event is in Hotel Korpikartano, Meneskartanontie 71, 99870 Inari.
BY TRAIN AND BUS
